Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. has prepared a motion for dismissal on recommendation that would potentially allow Dominique Strauss-Kahn to walk free from his sexual assault case. The DA’s decision is based on the grounds of accuser Nafissatou Diallo’s questionable credibility. If the motion is passed, Diallo would no longer have access to press criminal charges against the former IMF chief. Diallo is still pursuing a civil lawsuit against Strauss-Kahn for an unspecified amount of money. [New York Times]
